BASIC CHARMS AND POSSIBLE EQUIPMENT FOR STARTER (PART 1)

Post by Krobelus »

Hey there People of the world!

I’m making this guide a progressive one, as there might be additional info coming from the pro players out there, I’m just normal player as you can see.

This guide will help you start off with your basic gears, equipment and charms as start for your character build. Please bare in mind that there are extensive builds that you can do with each job and class. Its up to you to mix and match and experiment.

This is a general guide applicable to everyone although there are some specific items that are job or class dependent or items that are specifically made for a certain job or class. I will try to make this as general as possible.

ESSENTIAL CHARMS

From Special Items NPC
Akatsuki Charm
Noctis Charm
Golden Dragon Charm
Orange Dragon Charm
Alexander Charm

Note: You need to gather Castle Drop Random Box, items from these boxes are the main materials needed for the Special Items Quest.

From Tidus Quest NPC
Sacred Charm
Hyrule Charm
Unstoppable Charm
Lunafreya Charm

Note: Lunafreya is a must endgame Charm that will take you time to make. But it is worth it.

Other Charms Needed
Victory Charm – from gathering Victory Medal and can be exchange at LMS Stats Viewer NPC
Bravery Charm – from Colosseum Manager NPC at Daily Dungeons
Celestial Charm – from world boss NPC
Honor Charm – from Raid Guild NPC
No KnockBack Charm – from Online Points NPC (This if you don’t want to be knock backed – most especially at World Boss, Igneel Advent, and Guilld Raid.

Seasonal Charms – All seasonal charms are essentials. These can only be attain from participating on seasonal Events (ex. St. Patrick Event, Valentine Event etc.).

Vote Shop Charms There are several Charms from the vote shop that can be purchased using Vote Points. Depending on your Character’s Job or Class you can choose the best charm that suits your build.

Note: There are more charms on the game I just put those that are essentials for starter… please read the description of each charm since there are some restrictions such as:
1. some charms do not work when paired with other charms. Ex. Lunafreya Charm will not work if you have Unstoppable and Hyrule Charms with you.
2. Charms have certain quantity that you can carry to make it effective, if the charm allows you to carry ten (10) the carrying eleven (11) will not be effective.
3. Charms are non-stackable; thus, it will occupy slots in your inventory so be wise of choosing your charms. This is to prevent any character to carry ALL the Charms in game, making each and every character’s build to be unique. So again, read the charms and be wise.

EQUIPMENT:

For Gears and Equipment, you can play and build your character, but for this guide I will try to make a common, general guide although you can check and read which option is suitable for your job or class. Lets say we will identify the gears as follows:

1. Melee - close combat attack, may it be DPS (Hitter) or Tank
2. Range - range attack mostly range DPS
3. Magic/Support - for magic damage dependent build or support.

All Gears and Equipment in Game are not included on this guide since this guide is to only show you the possible Gear and Equipment that you should need for starters. It is still up to your judgement on how to go about your build.

For Starter the basic, Valkyrie Set and Flare Set (GM Freebie Set) is what I recommend you should use. you should ask why? here:
1. Valkyrie and Flare Set (GM Freebie Set) Set will boost your stats so you can survive doing instances and Farming
2. Valkyrie Set has Comet Skill that you can use for farming.
3. Flare Set will boost your stat as well if you are going to join King of Emperium and War of Emperium
